When it comes to making someone smile, creating your own gifts always works! Make this fun flower for a grandmother, teacher, child care provider, friend, or for your Mom for Mother’s Day!

Make your flower and vase pieces using Crayola Color Explosion™ White Paper, Markers, and Scissors. Draw two propeller-like flower parts with three petals each. Cut out. Cut two circles, one smaller than the other, to fit the center of the flower.

Roll a section of Color Explosion White Paper into a long, tight tube for a flower stem. Glue the edges. Secure with a rubber band on each end while it dries. Ask a friend or grown-up to help if needed.

Measure and cut Color Explosion Paper to fit around the oatmeal box for the vase. Cut a shape on which to write someone’s name and/or a message.

Add amazing designs to all of the pieces with a Color Explosion White Marker. All of the colors come from just one marker! Use your own ideas or try these techniques: Design bouncy lines around the edges of petals. • Draw short lines around the larger c

Assemble your 3-D Flower. Cut four short loops from a recycled cardboard tube. Glue a loop to the back of each circle and flower petal part. Air-dry the glue.

Glue the flower parts one on top of another in this order: small circle on large circle on flower petal part on other flower petal part. Air-dry glue.

Glue flower to the stem. Tape to reinforce as needed. Wrap the vase cover around the oatmeal box and glue in place. Glue nameplate to the front. Air-dry the glue.
8.
Ask an adult to poke a hole in the top of the oatmeal box lid. Put lid on box. Push flower stem into hole.
