Create a winter party centerpiece and matching place cards. Your table will sparkle with this snowy ice-skating scene!
1.
What’s your favorite part of winter? For many kids, it’s snow and ice! Imagine a party on a pond with this wintry centerpiece. Use your own ideas, aluminum foil, cotton balls, and of course Crayola® Model Magic® to craft this winter party decoration.
2.
Craft a pond. Ask an adult to help you cut a pond-shaped piece of cardboard with Crayola Scissors. Cover it with aluminum foil to make an icy pond.
3.
Shape the skaters. Make several ice skaters and snow sculptures with white Model Magic. Add the color from Crayola Multicultural Markers to the white Model Magic to get just the right skin colors.
4.
Mix white Model Magic with Crayola Washable Markers or used colored Model Magic, to put colorful scarves, coats, hats, and mittens on your skaters. Add Crayola Glitter Glue for sparkly details. Air-dry the pieces for 24 hours.
5.
Sculpt place card holders. Sculpt place card holders with Model Magic. Use any wintry shape that will hold a place card and stand by itself. You will need one holder for each party guest. Press the blade of your scissors in the top of each holder to make a slot to hold the name card. On the front of the holder, use textured objects such as the edge of a scissors and a marker cap to create a wintry design such as a snowflake. Air-dry the name holders.

Cut blank index cards into rectangles that are large enough for names. Make them big enough to fit into the slot on top of the holder. Write the name of a guest on each piece. Use your markers to color the design you made on the holder. While the ink is s
7.
Get ready for your pond party! Arrange the ice skaters on the pond. Attach cotton balls around the edges with Crayola School Glue for snow. As soon as the glue dries, you’re ready to set the table for your winter party!
